If you have always loved Jazz but want to understand more about it, come journey with our 3 experienced instructors.
- First, who in Corrales doesn’t know and recognize jazz trumpeter and recording artist Bobby Shew! His credentials and background are too numerous to list during his 64 year career. Perhaps most momentous, Honorary Doctorate from Elmhurst University and Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Jazz Educators Network and the Int’l Trumpet Guild.
- During our 2nd and 4th class, you will benefit from the knowledge and experience of Joe Washek who ran his own cd label, runs a 78 rpm record auction business and has published many articles about jazz. Joe is a graduate of Cornell University and Boston University Law School which prepared him for a 50 year history of collecting records!
- During our 3rd class, experience the wisdom and depth of jazz knowledge possessed by Diane Richardson. Her credentials, recordings and performances are again too numerous to list and she combines practical singing experience with a Doctor of Musical Arts in Jazz Studies from the University of Southern California.
