This is a great introduction to the pastel medium through music and fun in an informal setting while sipping wine. The first 30 minutes is dedicated to the basics of soft pastels – from handling to stroking and mark making. The latter portion is a collaborative playtime with timed musical arts. Tuition includes wine!
INSTRUCTOR: Susan Roden. Susan is an award winning Distinguished Pastelist and juried member of the Catharine Lorrilard Wolfe Art Club of New York. She has exhibited nationally and her art was featured in Pastel Artist International Magazine. Susan has taught previously with the UCSD Extension, Oasis Albuquerque, and the San Diego Museum of Art. She is the current president of the Pastel Society of NM, is the artistic associate of AUX Dog Theatre, and a member of Women’s Entrepreneurs of NM.
TUITION: $36 CAC Members, $40 Non Members. Materials fee of $15 includes take-home pastels.
