With an iPhone and/or iPad, a few apps and two Saturday mornings, you can learn to transform your photos into works of art. In this workshop we’ll use a an iPhone/iPad app to capture our images. Then, with editing, compositing, painting, sketching and filter apps we’ll make an artistic selfie, an elegant still life and an atmospheric landscape suitable for printing and framing. A working knowledge of Photoshop is helpful but not necessary.

INSTRUCTOR: Carol Mell is an award winning photographer and digital artist who received her Bachelor of Fine Art in Dance from The Juilliard School. Originally from a small town in Oregon, she is still fascinated by the scenes and stories of rural life in the West.

As a supplement to her intense photo encaustic practice she has studied photo capture and editing on her iPhone and iPad for several years. She has discovered that iPhoneography lends itself to spontaneity, innovation and play.

TUITION:  Non members $135, CAC members $121.50.  Materials fee of about $25 for camera apps such as Camera+, image editing apps like Snapseed, Paint and Sketch apps like Photo Sketch, Color and Texture layer apps like Repix, and special effects apps like Snow Daze.  Supply list will be sent upon registration.

Class limited to 6 adults.
