ART UP! Corrales Elementary School After School Arts Program

THURSDAY AND FRIDAYS, SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER 
For Grades 1- 5.  Minimum of 4 Students.

Description:  It's been shown that the arts are an essential part of a well-rounded education.  CAC is pleased to offer Art Up! - an after school program taught by Corrales Elementary teachers.  The classes encourage students to  grown and expand their learning through art expression.  All classes are hands-on and project based designed to enrich students' curriculum.  Each weekly 4-hour class (over two days) is theme-based. The Arts and Science Series (for grades 1- 4) explores themes of water, motion, light, energy, etc. The Exploring Artists Series (for grades 3-5) examines the works of John Muir, Picasso, Matisse, and more.    Students may choose classes from one or both series.  Classes will feature a one hour discussion followed by three hours of total studio time.  A variety of mediums will be used to produce one or more art projects per class.  You may download the entire curriculum to choose the class (or classes) and to register on this website.
