Registration is closed

This 3-hour workshop is an adventure in negative space painting with a positive experience! You will work on technique, color and values to enhance your backgrounds or to loosen up your painting style (I will include an example painting.) Bring your own supplies.  No supplies?  No worries!  We'll have some on loan. A supply list will be included when you register. For students age 18 and older.  All levels welcomed!

WHAT IS NEGATIVE PAINTING?

Negative painting is a simple technique that involves applying pigment around an subject to give it definition. You’ll add paint to surround the person, place or object, making it stand out because it appears lighter than the background.

She received her BA in Graphic Design from UC Berkeley extension program.
